EUSA-Syracuse in the NEWS
Nov-12-2008

Welcome to the EUSA Syracuse - In August 2007, Western New York’s top soccer clubs, the Syracuse Football Club, the Rochester Jr. Rhinos,  and Buffalo United Soccer Club joined together to form the Empire United Soccer Academy. The unification of these clubs, acknowledge their strong working relationship and shared vision of the development of youth soccer. This combined organization will enable soccer players at all levels to attain their individual goals and maximize their potential. In fact, the strength of the new club was recognized when Empire USA received one of the sixty-four initial memberships in the U.S. Soccer Development Academy. (see rest of article)

Coach Corner

"In the NET"… from Director of Coaching: Mike Paolini

First Edition

Coaching Philosophy:
It is vital that ‘the beautiful game’ of soccer is played the way it’s meant to be played, simple yet attractive, disciplined yet creative and always passionate. I want the game played in such a manner that, win or lose, people walk away having been entertained with quality soccer from quality players who understand what the game is all about. The only way I can make this happen is to ensure that the foundation skills are continually strengthened, advanced and built upon through dedication to player and squad development.

I fully believe in providing the players with the necessary tools to ‘do the job’. Our EUSA coaching staff will then sharpen those tools for each and every player, maximizing their effectiveness on both the practice and game fields. I wholeheartedly believe in the importance of the players buying into our club program and its philosophy and of holding each other accountable for actions on and off the field, consequently placing them in a position of ownership and responsibility. I would then expect this ‘additional responsibility’ to be a factor in their development.
